Enough love to go around

I decided yesterday that I love February. What's not to love? Here are a few things that I love about February.

  • Valentine's Day
  • February signals that spring is coming. There is light at the end of this long, dreary winter.
  • February is fun to say and spell. No other month has 4 syllables. Be careful though, February is often misspelled. In fact, a couple of years ago my Mom sent me a calendar for Christmas. It was a Utah calendar with pictures of Utah's beautiful scenery. Sadly, February was spelled wrong.
  • February is the shortest month in the year.
  • Every 4 years February has an extra day, how cool is that. No other month can say that!
  • In February stores are filled with all sorts of yummy chocolate!

Moving on.....A few updates on what our family has been up to:

  • I have finished my second week of MT training. I have learned a lot already, including how bad I am at grammar and punctuation. Today I am starting my Anatomy and Disease unit. Hopefully that will be more interesting than grammar and punctuation.

  • My friend Lani is training for a half marathon in March. She has been very inspirational to me. I decided that if she can run a half marathon than maybe I can hobble through run a 5k. I mentioned this to my husband and he said he would like to run with me. So, we are I am training for a 5k. Not much compared to a half marathon, but hey, it's a start. Today Lani gave me a training schedule so that by the end of 6 weeks I should be able to run for 30 minutes. That is if I don't die first. ;)

  • A couple of weeks ago Scott was in a different kind of race. He raced his 4-wheeler in an Indoor Enduro motocross race here in town. He took 3rd place (there were only 4 riders, but still!) in his race. Needless to say I was a proud wife. He did great and was very entertaining to watch. Unfortunately my camera takes lousy pictures inside so I didn't get any pictures worth sharing. However, there is a website that has many pictures of Scott and the other racers. If you are interested, there are some great pictures here. Scott is the rider in the yellow helmet riding the yellow 4-wheeler.
  • Megan's birthday is this Friday. I can't believe that my baby is going to be 5! :( I'll blog more about that later this week.

I never thought about how cool "February" is. You are right!!

I started the MT course this weekend. So far I am done with the intro and 25% thru the 1st module. I'm excited to get past all the computer, typing, grammar stuff...

Oh my gosh, I didn't know our babies were only two days apart! Crew turns 5 on Wednesday.

Also, I'm really excited for you and your 5K training. You will be great. I don't see any reason why you can't run the 1/2 marathon though! Let us know how the training goes!

I can't wait for SPRING!
The chocolate part of February is challenging me right now. I am off sugary desserts until Valentine's Day.

Isn't it amazing how people come into our lives at just the right time and meet just the right needs(in regards to your last entry about MT and Chrissy). I'm glad it's all working out and your doing well! I heard you might be making a little trip in June! Hope we get to see you then!

Reading how excited you and Tori are about the MT training has gotten my thinking about it.

My work out friend informed a few weeks ago that we are running a 5k this year (she's one crazy determined woman). Looks like this is our year Amanda!

Tucker and i were just commenting on how lame January is. No holidays, still winter, no nothing, and you don't get tax mail until the end of the month..and then comes february! Ahhh, I love the month of love! So much goodness and people are nicer!
PS - GO SCOTT! I looked at some pics, nice and muddy!

It's been forever since I've stopped by. Sounds like you've been busy and have been having some fun!

I have thought about being a MT many many times. This might be a good thing for me. Maybe you could email me and give me more info. If you don't mind.
