I just finished this book today. A friend recommended this book several months ago, but I only now got around to reading it. I loved it! I highly recommend it to anyone. Especially if you are a Jane Austen fan and are familiar with her books.
I have read another book by Shannon Hale, The Princess Academy, and really enjoyed it. I look forward to reading some of her other books soon.
So what are you reading this summer?

oh thanks for the suggestion! I have been looking for a new book to read

Thanks
I need a good book too:)
I've read Princess Academy and The Goose Girl, but not Austenland. I'll have to look for it.
I just finished Cold Sassy Tree and was thinking maybe I'd re-read all the Harry Potters... Hmm...
I love Shannon Hale's juvenile fiction - she has such a great way of writing. I was actually a bit disappointed in Austenland, but that may have been because I am so used to her other style of writing, you know?
I've heard of this one before and it's on my "to read" list. Maybe I'll have to move it up!
I LOVED Princess Academy! I still need to read The Goose Girl and Austenland because I've heard so many good things about them. I'm reading Persusasion by Jane Austen right now.
Some other books that I've been meaning to get around to:
North & South by Elizabeth Gaskell
Crown Duel & Court Duel by Sherwood Smith
Possession by A.S. Byatt
And of course Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer when it comes out in August!
Hi Amanda,
Thanks for the book review. I miss the book club and I'm always looking for something new to read. Remember when we read the Scarlet Pimpernell? I'm reading the second book, Eldorado. It's pretty good.
Thanks for the recommendation. I have a pile of books sitting here to read this summer. I'll have to get with it.
Thanks for the book recomendation, maybe I'll give it a try.
It's hard finding a book that keeps me interested.
Harry Potter and Edward ruined me :)
I love Shannon Hale's books. Esp. the Goose Girl and Book of a Thousand Days... but I didn't love Austenland. sorry. It was cute, but not my favorite. are you mad?
I enjoyed "Austenland" too! I loved all the Austen references, etc. We had quite the debate on the LDS Readers blog about it. LOL!
