The weather today was fabulous. The water was great and it was a wonderful day. We had so much fun! Wendy and her family, who were with us last year, were missed this year! They probably spent this Labor Day on a real beach! :)
Jordan, who didn't want to be shown up by the Bishop's 9 year old daughter, strutted his stuff on the knee board. He was a natural. Scott knee boarding. He also tried the wake board for the first time ever today and did awesome.
Jordan and Megan riding the tube. Megan was so brave! She didn't want to get out when her turn was over.
This is me showing my expert water skiing skills (ha ha). I got up on my first try. Then I got cocky and decided to try skiing with one ski. This is the result...
I got up and then promptly did a nose dive. The ski came flying off and I smacked it with my leg when I hit the water. I'm sure it was funny to watch. I tried again, but couldn't get back up.
The Bishop talked Jordan into cliff diving. This is the same kid who is near terrified to jump off a diving board. Go figure!
Kimberly and Kaylynn on the tube. They are so cute! The Bishop told them to signal by thumbs up or down if they wanted to go faster or slower. Often Kim would have her thumb down and Kaylynn would have her thumb way up.
This is our Bishop showing his expert water skiing skills. Show off! Hmpf... :) I didn't get a picture of his wife who is a great skier too.
The kids all loved sitting at the front of the boat catching the waves as we rode back to shore. You can see the storm clouds brewing in the sky. It started raining shortly after we got off the lake.
What a great way to celebrate our last day of summer vacation. Thanks Bishop! See ya next year. Same time, same place. :)

Sounds like a fun Labor Day tradition. We love boating and my boys love kneeboarding too!

kathleen: Glad I could make you laugh! :D
mel: Yay for your boys! :D Our bishop is pretty cool!
That looks like such great fun. Wow, single ski--good for you. I still remember the first time I got up on water skis, I thought, "What am I doing?" and promptly through the rope and down I went!!! Glad you had such a wonderful time.
What a blast! Looks like tons of fun, wish I was there. : )
Ooh! Looks like so much fun, minus the bruise. That looks really bad.
Oooh! That looks like so much fun. We need to make friends with someone with a boat. ;o)
Wish my bishop had a boat. Can I borrow your bishop for a weekend? I don't do the skiing thing (arthritis in knees and all), but I love to be in a boat on the water.
Cliff diving?! My kiddos would be right there demanding their turn.
Yay for fun days.
So fun, what a way to leave summer with a bang! and a bruise!
My husband wants a boat, he thinks he deserves one, having all daughters. As an escape for when they are all on their (.) at the same time:)

I like your husband's way of thinking. Too funny!
I haven't been water skiing since I lived in Provo in the late 80's. I used to love it! Looks beautiful and like a lot of fun.
I hate a hot dog and beans directly across from the Bishop at our Ward picnic yesterday. Yeah, I was eating baked beans and had to be on my best behaviour at the same time. It was.......a struggle.
Your Bishop ROCKS, as in Rocks The Boat!
How stinkin fun! That is great-
I'm glad you got to go.
