We're Baaaack

We made it home Saturday evening. It was so nice to see Scott again and to be home again. Scott was thrilled to see us and said that he is neve letting me go again. :) Today we will begin the task of getting back on a normal routine and getting through the piles of laundry.

Our drive home was uneventful, with the exception of all the motorcycles that we saw along the way that are headed in our direction. That's right, it's that time of year again, time for the annual Harley Davidson motorcycle rally in Sturgis. This is the week in which we get to endure literally thousands of motorcycles throughout the black hills that make driving through town a pain, as well as the scantily clad women who adorn the billboards advertising various aspects of the rally. Why beer and half naked women tend to go with motorcycles is a mystery to me.

For a peek into the world of Sturgis and a webcam view click here.
This year an old friend of ours along with his brother and Dad are venturing from Utah to attend the rally. They will be staying with us in our basement. I will be forced am willing to give up my computer for most of the week because they will be staying in our family room which is where my beloved computer resides. So if you don't see or hear from me for a few days that is why.

Maybe next year we can rent out our house and go on vacation during the rally!

Welcome back! Glad you are home safe!

Our bishop rides a Harley to church. He and his wife ride across the country together. They are on my list of "Favorite people ever"

Enjoy your company, snicker;)

Glad you made it back safely. Road trips are hard enough without any other complications!

Beer, naked women, and bikes? I don't get it either.

Oh, so that's where all the bikers were headed! We saw them on our way home from WY.

I'm glad you made it home without problems:)

Great to meet you. Glad you got home safely.

I like the idea of renting out the home and going on a vacation. Make money while you spend it- now that's my kind of deal!

Ahhh, the glories of Sturgis. My Harley-toting brother-in-law is a regular. I don't even want to know what goes on there.

hi amanda: so glad you are back safe. you crack me up when you write those phrases that you line out and then write the politically correct thing that everybody would expect you to say. thanks for the chuckle. welcome back :) kathleen/grateful

You should sneak into the family room in the middle of the night to use the computer. If any of them wake up, simply tell them that they are dreaming and to go back to sleep.

yes, what wynne says, but make sure you wear clothes, you wouldn't want to freak out your house guests if they woke up during your middle of the night stroll! tee hee

So glad you made it back home! YAY!

Renting out your house, is an interesting idea. I've heard of that, but never dared tried to do it.

I've been gone for quite a while, camping, and I too am glad to be home!

Getting back into that routine, is toughy!

Good luck-
