You asked! - Part 2

Here is part 2 of my questionathon answers. If you missed Part 1 check it out.

(deanne) 32. Is your married/adult life different from what you'd thought it would be? Married life is better than I expected it to be, and my expectations were pretty high. Being a mom is harder than I expected it to be.

(deanne) 33. What do you do to unwind from a busy or stressful day? I like to take baths. I like to soak in the tub, read a book and try to ignore everything else around me.

(deanne) 34. What do you enjoy most of all from blogging? (aside from getting comments!) :) Comments are definitely great. I love seeing lots of comments. I've enjoyed being able to meet new people and share a small part of my life with them.

(deanne) 35. What is an embarrassing story you don't mind sharing with your blog friends? I may have already shared this one. This happened when I was a missionary in the MTC. At the end of one of our classes we were all standing up singing our closing song. In the middle of the song I felt something fall around my ankles. I looked down in horror to see my slip around my ankles. I tried to nonchalantly slip my feet out of it and move it behind me, but everyone saw and the elders started laughing so hard.

(sodak angel) 36. Do you get tired of the question..."Twins?" No. We don't get as much attention now that the girls are getting older. When they were babies going to the grocery store was hard, everyone had to stop us and look at the cute babies and ooh and ahh over them. Jordan got totally ignored until he started saying, "Hi, I'm Jordan". He wasn't about to be left out! :)

(sodak angel) 37. How early did you know you were growing two babies? I found out at my first prenatal appointment when I was 10 weeks. The pregnancy itself was quite a shock, finding out it was twins was very shocking. After I got over the initial shock and excitement I spent much of the next several months crying. How in the world was I going to take care of 2 babies at the same time, when Jordan was still so little. We survived though!

(sodak angel) 38. How did you find yourself in Rapid City? My husband's brother Roy chased a girl up here from Arizona. They eventually got married and after high school Scott came to live with them and work for Roy until he went on his mission. Scott loved the area and the people and tried to talk me into moving here after we got married. I didn't like the idea of moving so far from my family in Utah. It took him about 4 years to convince me to move here. There is more to the story here.

(sodak angel) 39. Do you prefer cookies, or chips? Definitely cookies.

(sodak angel) 40. Are you where you thought you would be, at this time in your life? I am a wife and mother and that is exactly where I wanted to be at this point in my life.

(sodak angel) 41. What do you wish you could do better? I wish I could be better at following through. I have lots of ideas, plans, goals - following through is a different story all together.

(sodak angel) 42. What skill do you hope to learn in the next year? Good question. I hadn't really thought of anything, but I'd really like to learn how to knit. Wendy has made such cute things. I have another good friend who knits and I keep thinking we need to spend an afternoon knitting together. It can't be that hard can it??

(NCS) 43. Whole milk, 2% or skim? I prefer skim, but the rest of my family drinks 1%. My kids call my milk skinny milk and their milk fat milk.

(NCS) 44. Favorite jell-o flavor? Carrot, of course.

(NCS) 45. Do you like those flavored water drinks? I haven't really ever tried them. I am a plain, ordinary water kind of girl. I would rather get my calories from chocolate or some other dessert than to drink them.

(NCS) 46. Yesterday I watched a show where (weirdos) people lived(inside of their house) with animals like monkeys, pigs, ponies and even a bison. Would you do such a thing? That is pretty weird, especially the bison. Can you imagine a buffalo stampede in your house. There goes the china! We own no pets at our house, not even a fish. We had a fish once but I killed it. Not on purpose. We had cats too, but they must have been unhappy with us because they disappeared. One of them was so unhappy she threw herself in front of a car.

(NCS) 47. How tall are you? Until recently I always would answer that question with 5'5". At my last yearly checkup they actually measured me and I was only 5'4". I was totally bummed!

(wendy) 48. What is your favorite breakfast cereal? I like to eat Granola, though I do not consider myself granola (see question 31).

(Wendy) 49. Do you pack lunch for your kids or do they eat hot lunch? I am a mean mom. My kids eat school lunch. On rare occasions, like when they have earned the chance to eat lunch in the classroom with their teacher, I do make them a lunch.

(Wendy) 50. How often do you go grocery shopping? I usually do major grocery shopping once every 2 weeks after my hubby gets paid. I do periodic shopping for things I forgot or for perishable items once or twice a week.

(Wendy) 51. Do you plan out your menu? or just keep a well stocked pantry? I try to plan out a menu and only buy those items. I do try to keep some stuff stocked, but we really don't have a lot of room in this house for too much.

(Wendy) 52. What is your usual laundry soap? I prefer Tide, with Downy.

(Wendy) 53. Do you fold clothes just as it comes out of the dryer or do you pile it up in the corner and dig for clean clothes? What do you mean fold them when they come out of the dryer. I don't understand!

(Wendy) 54. What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be like you Wendy! I was going to be a pharmacist before marriage and kids came along. I sort of would like to go back to school, at least to say that I earned a college degree. The only degree I have is from the school of hard knocks. That is a whole other story.

(Wendy) 55. What book are you reading today? Right now I am trying to finish the Book of Mormon with Jordan. I've had to put other books on hold for right now. Our next book for book club is Tangled Roots. We just read I am a Mother last month.

(elizabeth) 56. Do you like to peel sunburned skin? Only when it peels off in big pieces.

(elizabeth) 57. Do you like onions on your cheeseburger? Yes, I do. Both hubby and I do, so kissing afterwards isn't a problem. :)

(elizabeth) 58. What were alternate names for your children that your family is glad you didn't go with? Well Jordan was always Jordan, even before we found out for certain that he was a boy. The twins were going to be Analiese and Melissa, but on the way to the hospital Scott told me he didn't really like those names. I'm glad they aren't still baby A and baby B. I'm glad that we didn't go with Beatrice or Bertha for Megan. ;)

(elizabeth) 59. How often do you mop--when your feet are sticking to the floor, or every Wednesday morning at 11am? Definitely not every Wednesday morning at 11am!

(heather) 60. What is your least favorite housekeeping chore? Probably a toss up between mopping and folding laundry.

(heather) 61. What is your most favorite dessert? I love chocolate, so anything with chocolate. I also enjoy a good cheesecake.

(amber) 62.How does it feel to be a rockin' blogger? It feels great! I love the blog awards, it strokes my ego and makes me feel special!

(amber) 63. Where would you be today without your blog? :) Well today I would probably be showered and wearing something else besides my bathrobe. :)

Well there you have it. A glimpse into the life and mind of Amanda. Scary isn't it!?! Thanks again for celebrating my blogiversary with me and for your great questions. Maybe we'll do it again next year.

I try to do grocery shopping every 2 weeks too. There are so many other places I'd rather be than a grocery store.

This has been fun!

I forgot to ask you my question. Is it too late?

If you could pick out a cheese to represent your personality, which one would it be?
