A little history behind my blog. A year ago I was serving in the Primary presidency in our ward. Our fabulous Primary president at the time, before she moved to paradise, had mentioned that she had a blog. I had also heard other people talking about blogs. I was completely unfamiliar with blogging and what it was exactly. I did a little searching on-line one day and got really excited about having my own blog. About this same time my brother started his blog. He,
My brother named my blog and created my blog address using my last name. That was fine as long as the only ones reading my blog were family, but when I figured out how to read other blogs and the whole blog world opened up to me I wanted a little more privacy. By this time I had found our Primary President's blog and had begun secretly reading it. I was trying to think of new names for my blog and my blog address and I had to do it fast before I got too famous. ;)She had a clever name for her blog, Rapid life, which is also her blog address name. I borrowed the Rapid life idea, with my own twist and turned it into Rapid Family for my blog address and then came up with Our Lot in Life (all on my own thank you) as my blog name. I know it sounds silly, but I've always felt a little guilty that our blog addresses have been so similar, like I was trying to copy her or something. Isn't imitation a form of flattery?
Anyway, that is how Our Lot in Life got started. What a great year it has been. I never imagined that I would meet so many wonderful people through blogging. Blogging has been a lot of fun. It has been a way for me to journal some, and meet new friends, and provide lots of distractions to keep me from doing other things, like cleaning my house and folding my laundry.
In celebration of my first year anniversary of blogging, and because I neglected to do my 100 things about me for my 100th post, I would like to open it up to all of you. Please feel free to ask me as many questions as you like. I am going to limit it to 100 questions, though I'd be thrilled to get 10 or more questions. I'll answer the questions next week for my blogiversary post. So ask away, just keep it clean. ;)
