Blog stalking

It seems that I have been outed as a blog stalker. I recently gave my blog address to a friend from church because I knew that she had a blog and thought she might be interested in reading mine. At least that is what I told her. The truth is that I have been secretly reading her blog for awhile and was feeling really guilty about reading her blog behind her back, like I was spying on her or reading her diary or something. I've talked to my husband about it and he of course thinks I am crazy. "She wouldn't write it on the internet if she didn't want anyone to read it" he says. I know that I should have said something when I first found her blog, but then I felt guilty for reading it without her permission and so I kept reading it without telling her I was reading it. And then I felt even more guilty for reading it for so long without saying something so I finally gave her my blog address so that I could stop feeling so guilty.

A few days after I give her my blog address I go back to her blog and she had written this:

Last week I had a bit of a dilema. I was reading my sister Mary's new blog, and decided to check out the links on her sidebar. While reading one of the links, I noticed a nice comment and decided to go read that person's blog. As soon as I got there, I could tell that the blog belonged to a good friend of mine from church.
Amanda's blog is so cute, and it was fun to read, but I felt like I was kind of spying on her. I couldn't decide if I should comment or if I should just wait and see if she said anything to me about her blog. Amanda and I work together in Primary, and she also runs the book club that I try to go to. She is someone I really look up to, and she has a terrific family - and I didn't want to scare her.

My husband thinks girls are so weird. Why would we even worry so much about something like this anyway. Who knows? I must say though that it is a HUGE relief now to be able to read her blog and not feel guilty about it. PHEW!

LOL, that is hilarious. Isn't that the point of a blog, that you want someone to read it? Even if it's someone in your ward? :)

That is still cracking me up! I'm glad I can read your blog out in the open, now!

It's not that I didn't want you to read my blog, but I DID wonder if I had complained about our ward or otherwise embarrassed myself.... I had to look back through my archives to read all the Primary stuff just in case....

Oh, well! Jon Creer reads my blog sometimes, and he mentioned that he read yours, too - hope ya don't mind!

Jon Creer?? Now that is scary. Note to self, Must talk nice about the Creer's. Just kidding. As long as the bishop is not reading I guess that is okay. ;)

You are funny! I haven't had that dilema yet, but I'll keep your situation in mind! *hee hee* (Girls ARE weird...speaking from experience!)

Hilarious! I'm the Mary mentioned in Wendy's blog entry, quoted in your blog entry. I've been reading your blog since Wendy posted about it. Who's the stalker now, eh?

Tag, you're it!

Mary, Welcome!! So nice to have you.

Millie, oh my gosh! My very first meme. I've thought of tagging myself for a meme, but thought that would like a little too pathetic. lol

I never remember that "real" people from my ward read my blog either. I don't write for them, I write for myself. It kind of catches me off guard when someone mentions something I wrote.

So far though only really close friends have mentioned it.
I wonder if I have blog stalkers though...Yikes!
