Random thoughts for a Monday morning....

My computer crashed a week ago. It is amazing how much a person can accomplish when they are not sitting at the computer all day long for a few minutes each day. It was really tough though wishing that I could just run and check my email really fast, or do a little blog reading, or type up an agenda for presidency meeting, or type the program for a baptism on Saturday, or search for a recipe for dinner, or....okay, really I don't need an excuse to be on the computer. Let's just say the withdrawal wasn't pretty. You should have seen the look on the face of the computer "doctor" when he said it would be several days before he could fix it and get it back to me and I nearly threatened to kidnap his dog until I got it back. Okay, that didn't really happen, but it was tough living without my computer!

If you've been wondering what I've been up to......
  • While my computer was gone I managed to catch up on my laundry and put it all away before the hamper filled up again. That is something.
  • I spent an entire day last week helping a friend clean her house before social services could take her kids away. Yeah, it was that bad. In her defense, her husband is deployed and she has many health issues.
  • I signed up for a sewing class. I am hoping to discover a hidden talent, that is after I find my sewing machine that has been hidden beneath layers of dust. Either that or at the very least learn how to thread my sewing machine, by myself.
  • Before my computer crashed I managed to accidentally delete several vitally important programs on my computer all in a vain attempt to access more memory. My computer was maxed out as far as memory goes. It got so bad that I didn't even have enough memory to send out an email. Have you ever felt like your brain was maxed out on memory? I wonder if someone can add more memory to my brain?
  • And last, but not least, if you were wondering what a bunch of desperate for entertainment stay at home moms Relief Society sisters do when they get together for girls night out, go here. (I'm #2 and #9). Sorry Heather and Marilee, you missed out. ;)

Tomorrow, or the next time I find time to blog, I'll fill you in on what the rest of my family has been up to.

I am right there with you on the computer addiction. Shameful, I say. (Mine, not yours.)

I'm glad you were able to help that lady. Will she be able to keep things going by herself?

I've missed you.

Now that I have sat here all day wasting time on the computer... you have inspired me to get off my rear and stop reading blogs. For now at least. Its time to make dinner anyhow!

"catch up on my laundry and put it all away before the hamper filled up again." If this happened at my home, the heavens would open and the angels would sing.

I did get a lot done when we moved and didn't have internet for two weeks.

Glad your back.

I can't believe I missed the Girl's Night Out, and a chance to try on that fabulously frightening sweater! I guess that's what happens when you're banished to the basement of the church building!

That sweater is very very wrong. ;o)

I agree, it's amazing what I can get done when the computer is off!

I would be lost without my computer. But I'm smart enough to know how much cleaner my own home could be....
