Gratitude Tuesday

Today I am grateful for:

  • My body - I am really grateful for a strong healthy body. I have been a little disappointed that my exercise efforts haven't resulted in the weight loss I was hoping for. I am grateful though that I have a healthy body. I am grateful that my legs carry me up and down the stairs in my home to take care of the various needs of my family and home. I am grateful that my arms allow me to hold my children close. I am grateful that I have hands to do many things from laundry and preparing meals and cleaning the house to combing my daughter's hair and holding my husband's hand. Though my body may not be exactly the way I want it to look, it functions quite well as it is. I am really very grateful for that.

  • Easter vacation - This weekend we will be traveling to Denver to be with my Dad and his wife. I am grateful for this opportunity to spend time with them and with my children. Scott will not be able to join us due to work and church commitments. I always enjoy going to my Dad's house. They spoil me and the kids and allow me to relax and actually enjoy my vacation. They adore my children and I enjoy seeing them spend time together.

  • My husband - I am grateful that he is willing to let me go this weekend without him. Though we will miss him so much, I am grateful that he doesn't mind that I am leaving him for the weekend. I am grateful for his love and support and all that he does to take care of and provide for our family. He works so hard in his job and is such an example to me and our children. He has the biggest, kindest heart of anyone that I have ever met and I am grateful that he loves me so much.

So what are you grateful for today?

Great post! I'm the same as you. It's hard to leave my hubby behind, but sometimes a vacation is just too important to pass up. Have fun with your Dad! :)

What a great post of things to be grateful for. Enjoy your vacation. That's the best when you get to go away and actually relax.
I'm grateful for little smiles and hugs, and a warm house.

I'm grateful for Spring. My tulips and daffodils are coming up. I'm grateful for warmer weather so I don't have to hunt down hats, gloves and snow boots anymore.

Suzanne: that is the way I look at it. I either go without him or don't go anywhere at all.

carrot: I am glad you are having an uneventful pregnancy too.

andrea: A warm home is a great thing seeing as how winter has decided to come back. :(

carronin: I love spring. We had a tease of spring, and now cold weather is here again. Yuck!

Denver is my home town! What a great place to visit. My DH is the same way....either I go without him or I can't go at all. Sometimes it is a pain to drive alone with three kids...but always worth it!

Love your blog.

hi there -- thanks for posting to my "sunbeam" story because it got my attention to look at your blog. how neat so far from what i see. i love how i keep getting to see so many Mormon folks on here.

your blog today is pretty much my favorite word .. grateful. i want to always remember to be grateful for our many blessings in life. i feel so grateful to have been given the opportunity to chose to join our church 2 years ago. i guess i should write in my blog about my conversion 2 years ago. no regrets since choosing this!

i never had a good reason to have a vanity plate on my truck before, but this past year, i decided i wanted to put GRATEFUL on my license plate. i look at it to remind me that i am grateful.

great things you said about what and who you are grateful for. i think people who are grateful are the best people to be around -- the kindest, warmest people.

blessings to you and yours this day from anchorage alaska,

I am grateful that the weather was nice in Denver this week. We wore sandals and short sleeve shirts. No boots or jackets for us! Have a great time.

i am grateful for the scriptures -- that there is always a way to turn to for guidance and answers.

i am grateful for friendships (the good and bad)... or like in D&C29:39 the bitter and the sweet. if we never had the bitter, how would we ever know when we have the sweet? if we never had some not so great relationships, we probably wouldn't be able to truly appreciate and savor the great relationships when our lives are blessed with them.

all things good to you this day :)
