Me: Really! That is exciting.
Kaylynn: Yeah, then I get to be bossy to my children and they have to listen to me.
Me: (wondering if I should laugh or cry) Oh, there are lots of other more fun things to do as a mom. Like hugging and kissing and snuggling your kids; and watching them grow up and be happy and playing with them, there's lots of fun stuff about being a mom.
Kaylynn: Yeah, but I still get to boss them around.

Megan who has been 3 for just a week now has eating issues. She doesn't like to eat what we are having when we are having it. Granted she is the baby and maybe, just maybe she might be a little spoiled. We have tried to be a little more firm at dinner time encouraging her to sit at the table instead of playing around and to eat her food instead of playing with it.The other night it went something like this:
Dad: Megan do you need to go sit in your bed?
Megan: No!
Dad: Then eat your food.
Megan: Okay!
(A few minutes later after she had crawled under the table)
Dad: Megan I'm going to put you in your bed.
Megan: (spoken like that of an annoyed teenager) Just relax Dad!
Mom: (trys real hard not to burst out in laughter)

6 people have something to say:
LOL!!! Is this a taste of what she'll be like in 10 years? Good luck! :D
ROFL! Just relax, Dad!
Ha! Bossy bossy!
I like to think of that as "leadership potential" doesn't that sound better. Kaylynn is great! and megan, too!
My Emma is the exact same! And I did burst out laughing!
Heck yeah you get to boss your kids around, otherwise who's going to wash all those dishes. :P
Aaah, the many joys of parenting. Oh so many many.
