Gratitude Tuesday - All because two people fell in love...

This week I am grateful for family. Actually I am always grateful for family, but this week is special. We are headed to Arizona tomorrow. All of Scott's family will be together for the first time in a very long time. He comes from a family of nine children. With all of them being married now, plus his parents, plus 33 grandchildren and one great grandchild, plus assorted other guests, we are expecting around 60 people for thanksgiving dinner. Anyone want to trade me places? Just kidding. :D

I do love his family and I am anxious to see everyone. His family is a hoot and I know I will have so much fun. Can you imagine the commotion that 33 grandchildren, ranging in ages from 20 years old to 4 weeks old, can make? I can't forget to pack the Tylenol!

And to think it all started when two people fell in love!

There ain't nothin' not affected
When two hearts get connected
All that is, will be, or ever was
Every single choice we make
Every breath we get to take
Is all because two people fell in love
-Brad Paisley "Two People Fell in Love"
Have a great Thanksgiving and I will see you next week.

Have a great week in Arizona Amanda.
And a super happy Thanksgiving to you.

Oh yeah, and I'm a tad jealous about all the big familia get-together activity. BUT I will survive.

That is amazing that EVERYONE will be there! Very cool! I think Thanksgiving is a good time for a family reunion. I'm jealous of your big-fam get to gether but not of the drive! Good luck tomorrow.

ps are you going to be back to hear my fabulous talk on Sunday?

Hope you have a fabulous time with all that family! Looks like we both will be doing road trips this holiday. How do you handle your kids in such a journey? We have a portable dvd player, but we will also be driving at night (as long as everyone is healthy) so the kids will sleep most of the time. *sigh* Gotta get packin'! Have a great trip!

deanne, when the kids were really little we traveled at night a lot. Now that they are older, except Megan, we try to avoid evening travel. It is very hard on the mom and the dad once you get to your destination. We too have a DVD player and the kids bring coloring books, books and assorted activities. We are breaking up the drive so it won't seem so long. We will stop in Denver tonight and finish tomorrow.

Wendy: I am sorry I will miss your fabulous talk. I feel bad about not being there. You will be great!

NCS: Will you survive? I am hoping that I will. lol

When I typed my post I did it last night. We are actually leaving today, not tommorow, so I have to run. Literally. Bye!

Have a great Thanksgiving! That's the best when there is a large fun group. There are only 5 grandkids for my parents so far, but there's potential to have many more. The holidays are always exiting at my parents' house.

See you next week! :)
