Give up chocolate? Fat chance!

Last night Scott asked me a question.
"Do you think you could ever give up chocolate?"
I looked at him like he was crazy and said "No way!" Why would I even want to do something like that? I know that my chocolate habit is probably not the healthiest but, I am not too concerned about it. It's not like I go through withdrawals when I don't have it everyday, oh wait I do. Well....I could give it up at anytime if I really wanted to. But why would I really want to?

Then he asked me "What if President Hinckley came out and said that chocolate was bad and asked us to stop eating it?"

Well I guess that is what it would take for me to quit chocolate. The prophet coming out and saying it is bad and to stop eating it. Maybe if a doctor told me that it was killing me and that I had to stop eating it before I died, then maybe I would quit. Those are the only two reasons that I would EVER consider not eating chocolate again. I feel fairly confident in knowing that I will never have to give up chocolate. Pheww! What a relief!

I love it! I don't know if I'd even stop if the prophet said to! (That's an addiction for you!)

Those would be the only two reasons I could ever give up chocolate too.

Ditto. It's the same reason I don't have a nose piercing (Pres. Hinckley). Otherwise I'd have a cute sparkly diamond in my nostril as we speak.

I'd have to do some serious prayer to get a testimony of that one!!

There is a Hershey factory (not the big place in Penn. but a much smaller place in Oakdale CA) near the town where we grew up. You could smell that place as you drove by.

And in the tours you could see the vats of molten chocolate and watch them making millions of chocolate chips. Love that place.

IFFFF pres. Hinckly said to I would give it up.

How old would I be when the doctor said to give it up? If I was already quite old why bother? :)

It's taken me a few days, but I have finally emptied the children's candy stash of all the chocolate candy. It took a lot of picking and sneaking and late night binges, but I did it!

BTW-Amanda how far away are you from Sioux Falls and Pierre?

a payne, I have managed to stay away from the big kids stash of chocolate. Megan however has been very generous with her chocolate candy. wink wink
We live about 3 hours from Pierre and 6 hours from Sioux Falls. I've never actually been to either place, but I think that is how far.

Oh man! I almost invited myself to stay at your house. My oldest and dearest friend that I told you about that lives in SD... she had emergency heart surgery. She is in a hospital in Sioux Falls. She will be going in again in a few weeks.
I thought, "Hey, fly up to be by my friends bedside and meet my long lost twin, bonus."

I agree! Those would be the only two reasons I would ever give up chocolate. There are few things in life that consistently make me feel better instantly. Chocolate is one of them!

Hmm...the Halloween candy is gone. I may have to go raid a bag of milk chocolate chips! ;)
