I think that is a Carpenter's song. Yep, I just checked it out. Isn't the internet great!
So I wake up this morning, the first day of September, to rain and thunder and cold temperatures. The expected high today is only 56. I don't know if I am ready for fall yet.
I do love fall. The leaves changing. The cool crisp air. I like being able to pull my warm clothes out and pull on a pair of nice fuzzy socks to keep my feet warm. I like drinking hot chocolate with lots of marshmallows! I like the smell of our wood burning stove and the warmth it brings to our home. I even like rain and snow and last year I didn't mind the below zero temperatures. (I think that had more to do with the nice leather coat with faux fur lining that my hubby got me for Christmas a couple of years ago. That keeps me very warm and cozy.) I am just not ready for this to all start yet. I know that it will probably warm again and I will complain about the heat, so today I will enjoy the fall weather and go drink some hot chocolate. I even have marshmallows that aren't stale. :)

4 people have something to say:
I love fall...but you are right - the cold drizzle is not something I'm ready for yet, either! But hot cocoa does soothe the soul...
I LOVE fall but we got a blast of winter here in Colorado. Why can't we just ease into it all?...
I'm actually shocked it's beginning to feel like fall here too. Cocoa must have a magic elixir in it or something because my children and I drink it by the gallonful as soon as it gets the slightest bit nippy.
Oh...and if you add word verification it will stop the comments like the first one at the top. I actually got a really "bad" spam comment. I didn't realize you could get unsolicited comments on a blog. What will they think of next?
