Our front door - if you look close you can see Jordan at the window and yes, that is iceIt had been raining and slushing all day yesterday. By the time we went to bed the snow had started to stick. Then the wind picked up. It howled and blew and gusted all.night.long. I finally got out of bed at 3:00 this morning to see if everything had blown off our deck. I couldn't even see our garage or back yard because of the blizzard outside. Luckily nothing has blown away, yet. Needless to say we are having a snow day today. The kids had today off anyway for a teacher work day, but now Daddy gets to stay home too.
The best part about spring snow storms? We are supposed to be back into the 50's and 60's for the weekend.
In other news.....today is Friday and my day to weigh in. I have lost another pound! :) Yay!!!

14 people have something to say:
It is blowing like crazy here, but (I don't want to jinx anything ; ) NO SNOW.
Like you say, it will all be different tomorrow. Enjoy having hubby and the kids home.
Congrats on another pound!!!!
Noooooo! It's spring, not winter! Yikes. Soon enough it will be plenty hot out, but snow wouldn't be a welcome sight for me to wake up to this time of year. But, now that you are back to eating chocolate, this might be a good excuse to make some hot cocoa!
Crazy weather! Congrats on the weight loss. You'll make your goal in no time and be all ready for Hawaii!!
Yay for another pound lost!
Crazy weather. We've been having major weather changes too. No snow, thank goodness.
Can I say that right this minute I do NOT miss SD! But I do miss you!
YAY on the lost pound!
BOO for the snow!
Whoa... i hate the snow and hate cold! What a bummer! I am glad where I live somewhere that hot weather can always be counted on!
Once again Rapid City made it on the weather channel. Even down in the dirty south, we saw good old SD and I felt SO BAD!!! I am so sorry. I pray that this will be the last crazy storm of the season. Does the season go into May? Anyway, I will try and send some of our 80 degree weather to you!!!! We miss you all in
Rapid 3rd!!
wow! I saw that on the news! Hope you thaw soon.
I saw that on the news too and thought of you. They said 24 inches of snow...that's a lot.
Good thing it will melt soon! It is pretty
A pound gone is wonderful!!!
Yvonne, I hope you don't get the snow! I am so ready for spring, for good!
Mary, I did enjoy some hot chocolate today! :)
Terry, Thanks! I am hoping to look less flabby in Hawaii! ;)
utmommy, I miss Utah! The winters here are sooooooooo long....
Boedee, We miss you too! I don't blame you for not missing the crazy SD weather!
Tori, Luckily it already started to melt before the day was over.
Chel, I am always telling my husband that we should move to Arizona. The problem with that is I would begging to move back to SD by the middle of June! I don't like the heat either. Maybe I should permanently move to Hawaii. ;)
Hi Rikki! Thanks for stopping by my blog. :) You guys are missed here too. We sure would love some of your 80 degree weather!
txmommy, Thanks! I hope we thaw soon too. Just not too soon, now they are worried about flooding. [rolling eyes]
pj, It is hard to tell exactly how much we got because of the snow drifts from the wind. The drifts in our yard were as much as 4 or 5 feet high. The kids will have fun tomorrow playing in it before it melts! :)
What a storm!
I love the photos - the photo of your front door (with Jordan) is great!
From 80 to blizzard?! Nooooo!
But Yessss! to the lost pound!
No way!!
