Country Music Monday - Rascal Flatts

Good Monday Morning!! The girls and I had a wonderful weekend in Denver while Jordan and Daddy had a great time here at home! I arrived home yesterday afternoon. I don't know what it is, maybe a poor choice of when to travel, but it seems like nearly every time I go to Denver I end up driving home in snow. The worst driving conditions I have ever experienced happened while driving home from Denver a couple of years ago. Luckily this time was minor in comparison. My Dad told me that they were forecasting snow and I sort of blew it off thinking, how bad can snow be in October anyway. We woke up Sunday morning to a nice blanket of snow covering the grass and it soon covered the streets as well. We quickly got ready and left. Driving through Denver is bad enough without snowy, slushy roads! Fortunately the snow subsided shortly after we were outside of Denver and the rest of the trip was clear.

I'll share more details of my trip later, including my report of TOFW. Today I must continue with the Country Music Monday tradition. Today is the Rascal Flatts addition. Rascal Flatts has been a favorite of mine for awhile now. One thing I really like about Country Music is that you can sing along. Quite often you can find me singing my heart out in the car, if my kids are with me they are often signing too. For example, the other day Megan and I were driving along in the car listening to the radio as usual. Out of the blue she said, I want to hear Me and My Gang. I was amazed that she even knew what that song was. Rascal Flatts is a great group to sing along to. They have fun, upbeat songs - Life is a Highway - as well as nice, love songs - God, Blessed the Broken Road. Yes, this is a recurring theme, I love love songs.

Sit back and enjoy a little Rascal Flatts. Don't be alarmed if you find yourself tapping your foot along to the beat or humming along to their catchy rhythms.

Here are some of my favorites:
Skin - the first time I heard this song I cried!
God Blessed the Broken Road - very true of my journey to find Scott
Life is a Highway - theme from Car's
Me and My Gang - country's version of rock n' roll
My Wish
Everyday Love
Love you Out Loud

Even though I live in Winnipeg--I absolutely HATE driving in the snow!!! So glad it wasn't too bad and that you made it home safe and sound.

(I have to admit that music was pretty good)
