Friday Feast - August 31

Appetizer
Who is the easiest person for you to talk to?
That would definitely be my husband!

Soup
If you could live in any ancient city during the height of the quality of its society and culture, which one would you choose?
When I was kid I was always fascinated with Pompeii and how a whole city was destroyed by a volcano then subsequently buried and preserved. Not that I would want to be there when the volcano erupted. I would also love to go back to the Book of Mormon times. Maybe to Zarahemla or some other great Book of Mormon city. I would love to meet Alma (either one), King Benjamin , King Mosiah, or maybe the great Captain Moroni.
Salad
What is the most exciting event you've ever witnessed?
Easy. The birth of my children.
Main Course
If you were a celebrity, what would you do for a publicity stunt?
I would hope that if I was a celebrity that I would use my celebrityhood for the greater good. I would give money to charities and try to raise awareness. There are many celebrities that do this, but some take it a little too far.

Dessert
What do you consider the ideal age to have a first child?
This is hard because each person is so different. I don't believe there is an ideal age. There are some people who could and do make great parents at a young age. There has to be a certain amount of maturity and some people just mature sooner than others. There are other people who no matter how old they are shouldn't ever consider being parents because they will never be mature enough, many celebrities come to mind (can you imagine Par!s as a mom). Unfortunately some of these same people are creating children and raising them. I won't name any names, but a certain pop singer comes to mind.

10 people have something to say:

Ooh- I likey your widgets. Can I steal??

I agree with your dessert. I had Tristan when I was 18 and now I'm thinking 'WHAT THE HECK WAS I THINKING!?!?" I would trip out if my little brother had a kid already. But that's because he's not ready for it.
I'll name names: BRITNEY!!!

I LOVE THIS IDEA. The questions are great.

I would love to have lived in the land of Bountiful around 38 A.D.--to be there at a time when there was such peace in the land would be fantastic.
The ideal age to have a first child--The age when you're ready. You're right it's different for everyone.

tori: Steal away! Britney is exactly who I was thinking of! You are a great mom! Someday I'll tell you my story....

Yvonne: I am totally dense! Duh! Of course the time to visit the Nephites would be after Christ came! I still would love to meet some of the others I mentioned!

Neat neat post!

What a compliment to your husband...

Your posts always reflect how you enjoy being a wife and mother. Your a great example to me.

You sure dodged that parent age question! LOL! But I agree with you exactly, it's different for everyone.

So maybe you'd be kind of a celebrity like Princess Diana was; helping others and raising awareness. Appropriate since today is the 10-year anniversary of her death.

Sheri Dew has claimed Captain Moroni in the next life if he's not taken. I'll be she would have wanted to live in that time too! :)

I loved this. I read it yesterday, and didn't realize I hadn't commented. I'm a bozark.

That is funny about Sheri Dew and Captain Moroni. Ha-

mel: you are so sweet. I feel very blessed to have the family that I have! :D

pj: How nice!

pj the second: I knew it was you, you can't fool me! ;)

suzanne: My mom, who is divorced, has said the same thing about moroni! :) I think Princess Diana did a lot of good during her life. I'd like to think I would do the same, if I was a princess someday. :)

elizabeth: That would be kind of fun huh!

lisa m.: I think my comments get eaten by blogger sometimes. :) Bozark is a great word! lol
