Memory Monday - Best mother's day yet!

I love Mother's day. I love having a special day all about me and my most favorite part about me, being a mom.

Before bed Saturday night, Jordan told me not to worry about breakfast on Sunday, he would take care of it. He is so sweet! It told him that was fine, just wash your hands first. (I'm neurotic like that. I've seen where those hands have been and how well they get washed.) Sunday morning Scott usually has to leave by 6:15 for bishopric meetings, so the kids got up around 6:00 to make us breakfast. Scott actually didn't have to be at church until 8:15 this particular Sunday. Yeah! When Scott and I crawled out of bed the kids were sitting on the couch patiently waiting for us. They had made toast, lots and lots of toast. They buttered each piece and topped it with the homemade strawberry freezer jam I made a couple of weeks ago. They had the toast stacked on a plate to resemble a castle. The piece on the very top had a big strawberry jam 'M' on the top. They each presented me with a special card they had made at school and then sang a song that they had made up. It was so cute!!!

Church was really nice. I wore my new clothes that I bought myself for mother's day! My kiddies sang to me in sacrament meeting, that is always precious. The priesthood gave all the women the 'day off' from primary and young women. Scott and another brother took over my nursery class so I could go to Relief Society. That was really nice. The RS presidency made chocolate dipped strawberries for us to munch on during the lesson and the RS teacher gave us bon bons after the lesson.

Last Sunday I had invited my SIL Terri and their family over to our house for dinner for Mother's Day. Then I told Scott he and Roy were in charge of dinner. Scott made roast and grilled a ton of fresh veggies on the grill. It was really yummy. Roy's contribution was less impressive. He forgot, so they bought contraband Hershey kisses on Sunday for our dessert. All in all it was a wonderful day.

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!!!
