Gratitude Tuesday - the school bus

Today I am grateful for my kids being able to ride the school bus. After much deliberation, we decided to give it a try and see how it goes. The kids rode the bus home from school yesterday and thought it was so fun. I met them at school to help them get on the right bus and to help alleviate some of their fears. This morning was their first time riding the bus in the morning. I think they were more nervous about this, knowing that they will be on their own waiting for the bus. Today Megan and I waited with them, but we won't do that every day.

I am looking forward to the new found freedom that this scene will afford me.
I am sure I can find plenty to do with the extra half hour in the morning. In the afternoon it will be nice knowing that I don't have to stop in the middle of a good book or a nap project or wake Megan from a nap to get the kids from school. Yeah for the school bus!!

Good luck!!! That's nice that your kiddies can ride together so at least they're not alone! :)

I love the school bus, even though the school is about 2 miles from my house. It's either the bus or sit in traffic for 15-20 minutes.

Glad it's working out for you!

My kids ride the bus in the morning but I pick them up after school because they ride the last route of the day and have to hang out at the school for 45 minutes before they even get on the bus.

Look how cute they are getting on the bus! What a smart mom you are, to meet them at school to help them get on the bus for the ride home. I was so nervous on Hannah's first day of school here because she had to find her bus and find her way home for the first time in her life. She, of course, did just fine. Yeah for an afternoon nap!

ITA, the school bus rocks!
There are no school buses in Mexico, either your parents drive you (like mine did) or you have to take the city bus, which is NOT a good experience at all. Yikes.
