Friday Feast - numero uno

My first ever Friday Feast:

Appetizer: What are you proud of?
My family. My husband and my kids.

Soup: What is the best thing you’ve ever won as a prize?
I can't think of anything. I am one of those people that never wins anything.

Salad: Name something you do that is a waste of time.
You mean besides spending hours on the computer?

Main Course: In what year of your life did you change the most?
Definitely would be 1997. I served a mission for our church in 1996 and 1997. My mission was a major turning point in my life. I also got married in 1997.

Dessert: Where is a place you consider to be very tranquil?
In the mountains. I have missed the mountains of Utah. We live very near the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota and that helps to ease the pain of being away from my beloved mountains.

I'm with you and the computer sucking away time. I can't help it! Ok, I know that's not true....but it's soooo hard!).

Welcome to and great Friday Feast! Now I wish I had done mine, but I should keep on getting ready for my trip...instead of surfing like I've been doing for the last hour :)
I am also one of those people who never win anything (but the one and only time I did, I won a basket of food at a grocery store).
I love mountains, they make me happy.

Friday Feast. Yum!

I used to waste time on Neopets. This is much better.

Once I won a little mini bbq grill. It is so cute and little, and we still have it. Sadly, it has a beer name printed on the side, but since I'm not all hip on beer brands I didn't know until Nathan burst my prize winning bubble.

Heehee, Annie used to play Neopets. I never win anything either. My husband, he wins lots of things. Especially the best parking places.

I used to get frustrated that my kids would never win anything. Sports, raffles, contests, whatever. Then I realized they are already winners because they have a home and a family that loves them.

Apparantly I am surrounded by people who are far luckier than I am. Maybe I need to start rubbing the computer while reading your blogs to try and absorb some of your luckiness.

i competed in an art slogan/poster contest when i was in high school and won some runner up prize -- gift certificate to a nearby mall store. that felt so neat when i was a teen to win anything in that competition.

i called into a radio station a couple months ago and won ringside seats for two to local boxing here -- "thursday night at the fights"! way cool because i love boxing (doing it and seeing it live)!!

ps. my "turning point" year was 2005 apr/may when i chose this church!! just awesome, i look at my life as "before" that week, and "since" that week. no regrets.

God bless,
