It seems as if the stomach flu bug is going around the blogging world. It hit us this morning. You may want to disinfect your blog, your house or yourself after stopping by today. Just as a precaution.
We were awaken this morning by Jordan running up the stairs to announce that Kimberly had just thrown up. I felt bad for her of course, but was so pleased to find out that she actually made it to the toliet. This is quite an accomplishment if you ask me. This means that I can focus my attention on blogging, I mean focus my attention on Kimberly and helping her to feel better, rather than tackling the inevitable loads of laundry and/or floor scrubbing that come from missing the toliet.
During our trip to Arizona Kaylynn threw up in the car. Not our car, but my brother and sister-in-law's car. How did we luck out on that one you ask? Well we were all driving down to Phoenix from Holbrook. We switched a couple of kids with Roy and Terri and headed down. Just before we came to the valley (for non Arizona natives like myself, the valley is basically all of the Phoenix area) Kaylynn threw up. Apparantly she was very polite and quiet about it, poor thing was probably embarassed. She managed to keep it to herself until her sister announced that Kaylynn had barfed. Poor little Kaylynn had thrown up on herself and in her lap. She missed blowing chunks on the seat in front of her or arond her. Lucky for Roy and Terri! Luckily the house we were headed to was nearby and we had immediate access to a washer and dryer and took full advantage of it!
Well enough of this throwup talk. I need to go grab my rubber gloves and face mask and arm myself with Lysol so that I can snuggle with my little girl.

5 people have something to say:
So that’s how this nasty stomach flu is spreading Via Teh Internets! (I wonder if Al Gore predicted such a thing would happen).
I love it when they make it to the bathroom!.
It rocks not having to wipe, pick up, spread baking soda over the affected area, vent the room…the whole process is just no good.
But there’s nothing worse than throwing up in a car, you are a prisoner of the whole sound/smell combo, and to make it worse, having to clean up. You are one lucky woman.
Hope y'all get to feeling better soon.
Oh how sad! I hope Kimberly feels better soon. It's so hard when kids are sick and it's this time of year that it seems to get out of control.
Thanks for the warning! I'll get my Lysol out and spray my keyboard right away! ;)
Ah man! Sorry to hear about your sicko! I have one too, but she just has a regular flu (no chunk-blowing involved...that was last week for us). This is the second day home for my Mae. I think this calls for a movie day. We just got two kid movies in the mail from blockbuster...just in time don't you think?! :)
By the way...I like your weather pixie! I may have to adopt one myself! :)
I'm so sorry your family is getting the crud! That's NO fun! :(
Thanks for the warning. Sadly I didn't listen and the bug was transmitted to my husband and children. I'm still ok, but cleaning all the barf up doesn't make me feel so good.
Hope you are all better soon.
