I can't say that I have been following this show all summer, in fact I have hardly watched TV this summer. I did read on the internet yesterday that the finale for this show was last night. I also read that among the four finalists, two of them were LDS. Yes, you read that correctly, two of the four finalists were mormon. Heidi Groskreutz and Benji Schwimmer
Now I know what your thinking, "but mormons don't dance". Well I think there were probably more than a couple of people surprised to find out that yes, mormons do dance and boy howdy, they sure know how to dance!
I watched the finale last night as Heidi was eliminated followed by Donyelle. That left Travis and Benji. After dragging it out as much as possible Benji, a 22 year-old return missionary, was named as "America's favorite dancer". How cool is that!

3 people have something to say:
Too funny. We Catholics have the opposite problem - people assume we can dance wonderfully. In my hubby's family, they are of Polish and Hungarian descent. At any large family gathering, there's a lot of polka-ing going on. I come from a totally different background, but let me tell ya, I learned to polka pretty quick. A matter of survival, I guess ;0)
chrissy,
The polka, that sounds like fun!
I can't say that I am a good dancer myself. I've always wanted to take lessons with my husband. I think that would be fun.
Hey Baptists don't dance either, but I do :) and I'm baptist!
